I just looked up some tundras and Tacomas for sale thinking used ones form 10+ with 150-200K+ would be just like any other car with those metrics to only be a few thousand but a freakin 1995 goes for 6-10K+ whaaaaaaaat!!? GM's tow haul mode in these year model trucks when trying to down shift it sucks sometimes I'm having to Pop it out of tow haul when breaking and then put it back in tow hall and when taking off because the electrical brake whatever kind of braking system that tow haul has on this thing sucks ass. They need to reevaluate it because I'm constantly having to engage and disengage tow haul coming to stop lights because there's no reason why you got to be revving up the engine of downshift so much on this thing when you're not going fast at all, especially easing to a stoplight. There's tons of electronic s*** the GM totally f***** up on and it shows in these trucks, but they're shifting the factory torque converters the factory computer set up for the transmissions and the engines are all set up for economy. Not moving fast and hauling ass or hauling enough ass fast enough like your '01 to '02. They had cable throttle not the electronic throttle. B******* electrical stuff sucks so bad it's delayed. It's it's temperamental and if you ain't electronic mechanic. Good luck. Bottom line, less electronics. More mechanical stuff sit will last longer

I had n 04 2500 HD… it was a gas hog for sure but it did what it needed to do for me for the most part but struggled on the heaviest loads on interstate speeds. But I wouldn’t hesitate to get a low mileage truck at a good price if I came across one again…

mine has failed three times ,,,DENTED TAIlGATE,,,,,,yes , pin installed correctly ,,,,,,,I have had three harnesses ,,,and three switches they have ALL failed ,,,,,,,cant handle salt etc ,,I have video of it malfunctioing ,,,,they dont even call back !

I paid $7500 for my 2001 1500hd in 2006 with 120,000. It now has almost 300,000. Only thing major I’ve had to do is replace the transfer case and broken manifold bolts. Awesome truck. Wool wax the rockers, wheel wells, and chassis and it will out last your grand children.

GM should stand behind their Silverado's. With all the money 💰 that they charge for them they shouldn't have this many problems. GM need to better . They had a lot of years to fix these problems but haven't done anything

Just ordered the fix yesterday….I have a new 2024 LTZ Silverado and I tow a boat 3 times a week, just on forget forgetful time will ruin a fishing trip. So this fix should be a stand item on a split gate from the factory….GM wake up, you have a great tailgate make it complete with this up-grade…..
